To Be or Not To Be: The Virtual Classroom

Okay, so we know the benefits of a virtual classroom... as teachers, do you think it is too much extra work on top of everything else we have to do?

  1. I totally understand what ur getting at. Running a virtual classroom is very time consuming. U would need to constantly update as you go. In a regular classroom, the students come in, learn, and leave. End of the day. The lights never go out in the virtual classroom...unless the electricity does!

  3. As educators, is it our ethical and professional responsibility to use pedagogical approaches like distance education if it most effectively meets our learners' needs, no matter how much more time and effort required?
